Designing the Layout

In October, I started focusing on creating a layout for my magazine. To do this, I learned the elements of design. This includes eyeline placement, copy and white space, pictures, captions, etc. After this, secondary coverage was next. Along with the importance of visual and verbal connections involving the headline and dominant picture. 

I began working on fonts in November, completing an assignment that included the various ways fonts can affect the tone of the magazine. After this, I learned that good headlines have a verbal and visual connection with the dominant photo.
